Most organizations have performance conversations twice a year, but by then it could be too late to redirect people. This session covers the flaws of the appraisal model and a step-by-step methodology for planning, managing ,and motivating team and individual performance, proactively. Participants will discuss the soft skills managers need to conduct performance conversations and the tools and templates to document them with so that neither employees nor HR are blindsided by a performance issue.

●Discuss the differences between Performance Management and Strategic People Development

●Review the use of Individual Development Planning (IDP) before coaching becomes corrective

●Review the soft-skills leaders need to have the many types of performance conversations

●Review the Coaching Templates that guide coaches through proper documentation for each type of performance milestone
